Endodontic Treatment (Root Canal)

1-     An untreated cavity can infect the pulp and cause an abscess.

2-     The pulp (nerve tissue) inside the tooth is cleaned out and medicated.

3-     With the infection eliminated, the canals of the tooth ore filled and sealed.

·        A tooth that has had a root canal treatment can usually be restored to last as long as any other tooth.

·        After a root canal treatment, the tooth should be restored. This is often done by using a crown (cap).

·        Most root canal treatments can be performed without discomfort.
